Dr Amarendra Deka has been practicing phacoemulsification, medical retina, glaucoma, oculoplasty and refractive surgeries for almost two decades now in northeast. He completed MBBS from Gauhati Medical College in 1998. Thereafter he obtained MS (Ophthalmology) from RIO, GMCH in 2004. He is also recipient of fellowship of American college of Surgeons (FACS), and first Ophthalmologist from northeast to achieve this monumental milestone. He is certified cosmetic practitioner and director of “FACE” ( Facial aesthetic centre). He is also president of “Trinetra Trust” and Director of “Trinetra Nethralaya” ( Eye Care Centre) He started his ophthalmology practice in 2004 and he has been actively involved in training surgeons in his ophthalmology specialties. He has presented scientific paper at various international and national conferences and has published in more than 10 international peer reviewed journals.
